Leadership in VUCA times requires obsession... obsession with data.

Lead in VUCA times

In a world that changes every day, you can't afford to guess.
And much less to start a strategy with: "I think," "I feel," "I guess..."

That's not enough.

You need a real, radical and professional obsession with data.
And not any data:

  • Internal data: to know who you are, how you operate and where you stand.
  • Market data: to understand where the game is going and with which rules.
  • Data from your customers: to not assume what they want, but to respond to what they feel, do and need.

Because the base of all successful companies today is the data.
Not the ideas.
Not creativity.
Not even the budget.
It dates.

You don't get it right because guess what you're gonna do.
He does because he has years of behavior measured, recorded and learned.

Google doesn't predict because it dreams.
It predicts why each search feeds its system.
Every click. Every mistake. Every word.

IA is not magic.
It's information hunger.
A machine that lives with measurable patterns, signs and realities.
No data, no IA. Period.

And if that happens to them, why would we continue to work with Excel disconnected, isolated dashboards and decisions made "by intuition"?

The data is your compass.
It is the only thing that transforms an act of faith into a real and successful strategy,

La data is all.
Data is knowledge.
And knowledge... you know what they say: It's power. But only if you use it.

Reflection for leaders who do not want to be soothsayers in a suit, but strategies with open eyes.
