Many leaders are uncomfortable today, not because they don't know how to work, but because the world changed... and their role as well.
They got caught between two times.
The old world: control, presence, hierarchy, constant supervision.
The new world: autonomy, technology, distributed equipment, decisions closer to the problem and do not dominate any.
That's why we see bosses that:
- Micromanagean under the name "follow-up."
- They give freedom... but no direction.
- They merge movement with progress.
- They measure activity when they should measure value.
The result is not efficiency, it is tiredness, busy teams, but not challenged, present, but not engaged.
Today the boss is not the one who knows the most, he's the one who designs the system where others can think, decide and take responsibility.
A system with:
- Clarity of decisions.
- Well-defined limits.
- Real trust.
- explicit expectations.
Leadership today is not being on, it is not disappearing, it is create context.
And so the critical question is no longer operational, it is deeply strategic:
"Do our leaders enable criteria... or only manage tasks?"Because in this world, the leadership that does not evolve is not questioned...It becomes irrelevant.
